Discover St. Cloud’s Story — One Step at a Time

Step into the past and experience the stories, people, and places that shaped St. Cloud during St. Cloud Main Street’s Historic Walking Tour. This guided adventure through downtown brings local history to life as you explore the community’s roots—from the rise and fall of Hamilton Disston’s sugar mill to the founding of St. Cloud as a national soldier settlement by the Seminole Land and Investment Company.

Along the way, you will discover historic landmarks, colorful murals created by local artists, and the unique blend of heritage and energy that makes downtown St. Cloud so special today.

Tours are generally held on the fourth Wednesday of each month from September through May, coinciding with the Monthly Market. In November and December, tours are scheduled earlier in the month prior to the holiday season.

The tour begins at 5:30 PM at the St. Cloud Main Street Office, located at 903 Pennsylvania Ave., and continues on an engaging journey through our historic downtown. Come stroll, learn, and see St. Cloud in a whole new way.

Historic Ghost Tours

Unearth the Haunted History of St. Cloud

When twilight settles over downtown St. Cloud, the stories of the past begin to stir. Join St. Cloud Main Street for a Historic Ghost Tour and explore the darker side of our community’s history through tales of fiery disasters, daring bank heists, local legends, and spirits believed to linger along our historic streets.

As you make your way through downtown, you will uncover how this once-swampy Florida landscape transformed into the St. Cloud we know today, hear fascinating stories behind historic buildings and familiar landmarks, and discover a few surprising film connections—including two movies filmed right here in our community.

The tour begins at 8:00 PM at the St. Cloud Main Street Office, located at 903 Pennsylvania Ave., and continues on an unforgettable evening journey through our historic downtown. Come stroll beneath the stars, uncover the legends, and see St. Cloud in a hauntingly different light.

All proceeds from Historic and Ghost Tours help fund new historic markers and support efforts to preserve St. Cloud’s rich heritage for future generations.
