The holiday season is behind us, resolutions are ahead of us and it is time to head out with the family for quality time. Downtown St. Cloud’s small businesses have a calendar full of events to keep you on your toes this January.
Festivals & Events
3 Lil Birds Tattoo shop is hosting their first annual Frost Fest. This live art competition will feature over 30 artist competing for a grand prize as they create a 12×12″ canvas live throughout the event. Artist will have their own booths with their works for purchase, live music will be performed by Scott Baker and Velcro Love. The Saucy Spoon and Los Pinchos Tacos will be on site for food. This is a kid friendly event so bring out your little aspiring artists to hang out in the kid zone. Find more information about Frost Fest here.
Food & Art festival returns January 26th to downtown St. Cloud. Tickets are $30 for 10 tickets to sample the cuisine and drinks that are in the heart of historic downtown St. Cloud. Boutiques will be open late so you can shop and there will be pop-up artist along the sidewalks of downtown. This event is from 5-9pm. Tickets can be purchased here. January 31st the Downtown St. Cloud Monthly Market returns! From 5-9pm come out and shop over 200 pop-up vendors, your favorite boutiques, and the local eateries that make our downtown unique. The streets are closed for this event. Parking can be found in Centennial Park, City Hall, and the parking lot on 10th Street and Ohio across from the Church.
Historic and Ghost Walking tours presented by St. Cloud Main Street. Grab your tickets for a night of history and haunting. Our Historic Walking Tour starts at 5:30 with our guide walking you through the present to the past. Surrounded by the lively market learn the history that made St. Cloud what it is today. You’ll hear stories of the past illustrated by historic buildings and the vibrant murals that color our downtown. At 8:00pm the haunting history continues with stories of the ghost that are said to inhabit the historic buildings in our downtown. Tales of an overnight fire that decimated Pennsylvania Ave and the town that came together the next morning to start rebuilding are at the heart of this tour. The Downtown Sidewalk Sale will occur January 13th. Come downtown to shop post holiday sales and specials with your favorite boutiques.

The St. Cloud Woman’s Club is bringing back their historic home tour and cemetery tour. The historic home tour is a trolley tour that will take you down oak tree lined streets into the past to learn the history behind some of the older homes in St. Cloud. The Cemetery tour is a walking tour that will guide you through the history of our towns cemetery, Mt. Peace. For more information on either tour click here.
Classes
Southern Roots Antiques is hosting several classes this month including Resin Boards (1/6), Sewing Classes (1/12), Dream Catchers (1/19), Resin Hair Clips (1/21), Sign Paintings (1/27), and Sea Glass Earrings (1/26). Find more information about their classes, including times and costs, here.
Nutrition Zone is hosting their Zumba classes every Monday starting at 6pm, Fit Camp ever Wednesday at 6pm, and Cardio Drumming every Tuesday at 5:30pm. Find more information, including class fees, here.
Blue Lotus Yoga has several workshops this month on top of their normal yoga schedule which can be found here. This month’s workshops include Manifesting 2024 (1/6), Crystal Workshop (1/13), Tarot Yoga (1/13), and a Drum Circle (1/27). Garage Bar on Pennsylvania Avenue hosts service industry karaoke nights each Monday and Wednesday throughout January from 8-12pm. For more information follow them here.
Live events are always looked forward to by those who can’t always make it downtown and this month there are a few! 34 Fireflies will be hosting theirs January 4th at 7:30pm. Lavender Patch’s live sale will be on January 15th starting at 8pm and EastRow Market will host theirs on January 23rd. Be sure to follow these businesses on social media so you can catch their live sales.
Phyre Gen X has wing specials Wednesday nights and lunch specials weekdays 11-3pm.
Shows & Performances
Theater in the Cloud will be hosting auditions for their upcoming show “Waiting for Godot”. Auditions will be January 13th and 14th from 2-6pm at The Woman’s Club Building on Massachusetts Ave.
The St. Cloud Twin will be showing Migration and Wonka the first part of the month. Buy tickets here and check back later in the month for new showings.
